چکیده

Thyroid cancer represents 3.1 % of diagnosed cancers in the United States. The objective this research was to identify comorbidities and discover additional genes potentially related thyroid improve current knowledge genetics associated with cancer. Healthcare Cost Utilization Project (HCUP) California State Inpatient Database (SID) used extract rank text mining software - BeFree utilized from PubMed abstracts DisGeNET expert-curated repositories. Female patients had 4,485, male 2912 different early stages Females 3,587, males 2817 advanced stages. Through utilizing method, 504 were discovered, as well five on DisGeNET. most often PubMed, were: BRAF, RET, SLC5A5, RAS, PTEN. Genes found via KRAS, NRAS, PRKAR1A. Identified comorbidities, potential risk factors for cancer, not previously known, could diagnosis survival discovered association be direct decision making optimal, more personalized treatment

Genetic and Epigenetic of Medullary Thyroid Cancer

Medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) is an infrequent calcitonin-producing neuroendocrine tumor that initiates from the parafollicular C cells of the thyroid gland. Several genetic and epigenetic alterations are collaterally responsible for medullary thyroid carcinogenesis. In this review article, we shed light on all the genetic and epigenetic hallmarks of MTC. From the genetic perspective, RET, ...

An integrated analysis of cancer genes in thyroid cancer.

Cancer driver genes are commonly mutationally disrupted in cancer, which confers a growth advantage to tumor cells. Recent studies preferentially search for recurrently mutated driver genes across multiple tumor samples, leading to the neglect of low-frequency mutated cancer genes. The present study was conducted to identify cancer‑driving genes in thyroid cancer with two distinct tools, Oncodr...

MircoRNAs in thyroid cancer

Thyroid cancer, which is known as the most common type of endocrine cancer, has seen a growing prevalence in the last few years. On the other hand, only a small percentage of them are associated with malignancy and most of them are benign tumors. Therefore, the first step in the proper management of this type of cancer is to distinguish malignant tumors from benign ones, and today, we are tryin...

Common genetic variants in pituitary–thyroid axis genes and the risk of differentiated thyroid cancer

Thyroid hormone receptors, THRA and THRB, together with the TSH receptor, TSHR, are key regulators of thyroid function. Alterations in the genes of these receptors (THRA, THRB and TSHR) have been related to thyroid diseases, including thyroid cancer. Moreover, there is evidence suggesting that predisposition to differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) is related to common genetic variants with low p...

Calculation of Thyroid Dose with Planner System and Evaluation of Thyroid Function after Radiotherapy for Patients with Breast Cancer

Background: Much research has widely been conducted into thyroid hormones levels following radiotherapy for breast cancer. Consequently, in this study, we evaluated to relate the rate of thyroid hormones levels with the dose distribution among breast cancer patients.Material and Methods: Thirty patients were treated with 4-field breast cancer radiotherapy. The dose volume histograms, the volume...
